The Fremont High School Alumni Foundation is a grassroots 501 c(3) charitable non-profit organization. It is our mission to impact change in the lives of Fremont  youth and South Los Angeles community by instilling the values of the importance of higher education, financial literacy, and mental health awareness to help build a strong community.

During the pandemic, our communities of color were hit the hardest. The current research on the community shows poverty level of children living in the Florence-Graham neighborhood has increased to 40%.  The poverty in the South Los Angeles area is 38.7 %, 15.7% of our youth end up in foster care, and 28.7% are living in single parent family homes.  Recent reports show violence and crime have also increased in the community. In addition, our recipients are youth living in an economically disadvantaged neighborhoods in which 74% of them are living below poverty line,42% come from single parent family homes, and 87% of them are first time college students.

All proceeds help fund the Pathfinder Educational Scholarship Program, Pathfinder Peer Mentoring Program, Pathfinder Alumni Youth Council And our training workshops and master classes.

 

The first in-person gala since the pandemic is tentatively scheduled for June 2023. We will be honoring the 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 Scholarship Recipients and some of our outstanding Pathfinder Legends, and educators in our community.Please join us for an amazing night to honor, celebrate, and join together for a great cause.
